Solana DePIN Ecosystem Achieves Record Revenue and User Growth

Solana DePIN Revenue Surges in 2025

Recent reports indicate that Solana's Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) sector has achieved significant milestones. According to Syndica’s April 2026 report, DePIN revenue on Solana reached $2.8 million, with data offload increasing 17-fold over the past year. This growth is largely attributed to projects such as Helium Mobile, Render, and UpRock.

Helium Mobile Leads Sector Growth

Helium Mobile, a prominent Solana DePIN project, reported monthly revenue of $2.5 million in Q1 2026, nearly matching its entire 2025 revenue. The platform also surpassed 500,000 sign-ups, doubling its user base in just six months. These figures highlight the increasing adoption of decentralised mobile infrastructure.

Expansion and New Services

Helium Network has expanded into Brazil through a partnership with Mambo WiFi, aiming to improve connectivity for millions. Additionally, Helium launched Helium Plus, a service enabling public venues to monetise Wi-Fi by supporting mobile carriers. The introduction of Sprout, a privacy-focused mobile plan for children, further broadens the project’s reach.

Investment and Ecosystem Growth

Bee Maps, another Solana DePIN project, closed a $32 million funding round with support from Pantera, LDA, Borderless, and Ajna Capital. This investment is expected to accelerate the development of decentralised mapping solutions.

Why This Matters for the UK

The rapid growth of Solana’s DePIN ecosystem demonstrates the viability of decentralised infrastructure models. UK developers, investors, and policymakers can look to these trends for insights into building scalable, user-driven networks and exploring new opportunities in connectivity and data services.
