ClearBank and Tazapay Connect Asian Payments to UK and Europe

ClearBank and Tazapay Partnership Overview
ClearBank, a UK-based real-time clearing provider, has announced a partnership with Tazapay, a Singapore-headquartered cross-border payments infrastructure company. This collaboration marks Tazapay as ClearBank's first Singaporean client and its fifth non-resident, Asia-headquartered client to onboard in 2026.
Integration of Payment Rails
Through this partnership, Tazapay will gain access to ClearBank's UK and European payment rails. This integration enables real-time settlement and compliant fiat interoperability for Tazapay's clients across European corridors. ClearBank's cloud-native clearing infrastructure will connect directly to Tazapay's single-API global payments platform.
Tazapay's Global Reach and Growth
Tazapay serves merchants and platforms in over 170 countries, supports more than 80 local payment methods, and offers multicurrency virtual accounts and local payouts in over 100 markets. The company processes billions in annual payment volume and has reported triple-digit year-on-year growth. Tazapay holds regulatory licences in Singapore, the US, Canada, and Australia, with further approvals in progress across Europe, the UAE, and Hong Kong.
Supporting European Expansion
The partnership with ClearBank supports Tazapay's European expansion by providing bank-grade clearing infrastructure. This approach removes the need for Tazapay to build separate integrations with individual European payment schemes.
Industry Context and Recent Developments
- ClearBank recently became the safeguarding bank provider for YeePay in the UK and Europe, assisting with EMI licence applications.
- ClearBank also completed a MiCAR notification, gaining CASP status from the Dutch AFM.
Both companies see this partnership as a step toward supporting international business growth and enhancing payment capabilities between Asia and Europe.
