Solana news: Solana’s Alpenglow Upgrade Nears as AI Agents Form Autonomous Firms

AI Agents Form Autonomous Companies
ClawBank, an agent-economy infrastructure project, announced that its Manfred AI agent has autonomously established a company, obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. This allows the AI agent to operate legally, hire staff, and manage licenses. Manfred also controls a U.S. bank account and a crypto wallet, enabling transactions in over 30 cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins.
According to ClawBank, this is the first instance of an AI agent independently completing the legal formation of a corporation. The agent is designed to trade crypto, with full trading capabilities expected to be integrated soon.
Solana’s Alpenglow Upgrade Approaching
Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko announced that the Alpenglow upgrade could launch as early as next quarter. The upgrade aims to make Solana’s blockchain faster, more predictable, and more secure. Alpenglow is designed to reduce transaction delays and increase reliability, bringing confirmation times closer to the physical limits of information transfer.
For developers and users, this means quicker transaction finality and a more robust foundation for building decentralized applications.
Security and Regulatory Updates
Ripple has started sharing internal threat intelligence on North Korean hacking threats with the crypto sector. This move responds to evolving attack methods that focus on social engineering rather than exploiting code vulnerabilities. The goal is to improve industry-wide awareness and defense against such threats.
In regulatory news, legal strategies are shifting in cases involving frozen crypto assets linked to North Korean activities, with new arguments focusing on fraud rather than theft.
AI Agents and Web Economics
Cloudflare highlighted the impact of AI agents on web economics, noting that automated traffic now exceeds human engagement. The company proposes new protocols, such as x402, to help websites manage and monetize bot traffic more effectively.
